“To be honest I brush but I don’t floss.” .
Today I saw a new patient and when I asked him if he flosses he said “it’s so hard and tight to get in between the teeth so no I don’t floss.”

My favourite floss that I recommend is the Johnson & Johnson Listerine unflavoured waxed floss. I just love this floss and been using it for years. I get it unflavoured so the whole family can use it as sometimes kids don’t like mint flavoured ones. @listerine .
Some of my tips for getting in the habit of flossing are:

🦷 – Use a floss that is waxed and easy to use

🦷- Use a longer piece that you can wrap your fingers around and easier to grip. .
🦷 – Do your brushing and flossing after dinner time when you still have energy and not too tired.

🦷 – Create a routine and pair it with something you do at night. If you watch tv, put the floss on the coffee table or in a drawer close by so when you are watching your nightly show you’ll be prompted to floss. .
🦷- I’m not fond of floss picks, (the plastic handles with a piece of floss in between.) but if that’s the only way you will floss and it’s either that or no floss by all means get them and use them.
Remember you miss cleaning 40% of the tooth if you don’t floss.
